SAMBA, SEPTEMBER 04: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta today chaired a meeting of district officers regarding implementation and review of Prime Minister Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan here at conference hall DC office, Samba.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Sukhleen Kour; Assistant Commissioner Development Sidharath Dhiman; District Informatics Officer Sanjeev Kapoor; Assistant Commissioner (P) Ashwani Khajuria; District Social Welfare Officer Deep Kumar; Chief Education Officer besides members of e-governance agency, CSC and bank representatives.
The DC informed that the Prime Minister Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan Scheme envisages extending digital education to villages to empower Rural Digital knowledge and economy.
She laid emphasis upon all the stakeholders to hold multiple awareness camps and enroll each eligible from every rural household. "The Scheme aims to bridge the digital divide, specifically targeting the rural population including the marginalised sections of society like Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Minorities, Below Poverty Line (BPL), women and differently-abled persons and minorities" added DC Samba.
DC stressed upon holding trainings programme for the priority groups including Non Smart Phone Users, Antyodaya households, College dropouts, participants of mission literacy and others. DC directed to submit action taken report in her office for analysis of performance till date.
