DC samba assess overall implementation of Govt sponsored schemes on ground besides listens to public grievances

Deputy Commissioner Samba Ms. Anuradha Gupta, along with district and sectoral officer today held a public outreach programme at remote village Goran of Block Sumb and assessed on ground implementation of govt sponsored schemes besides listened to the public grievances.
During the programme Vice Chairman District Development Council member Balwan Singh, Block Development Chairman Sumb Romesh Singh, Assistant Commisioner Development Sidharath Dhiman, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tehsildar, Executive Engineers PWD, Jal Shakti, PDD besides other district officers and sectoral officers were also present.
The tour programme of the deputy commissioner samba held today at the remote village was held in accordance with Govt directions to bring administration to door steps and enhance on spot resolutions of public grievances.
The public outreach programme saw participation of PRI members including Sarpanches, Panches and local public who appraised the District Administration regarding various issues faced by the local residents including sanctioning & maintenance of roads, Uninterrupted power supply, clean and hygienic drinking water supply, Internet connectivity issues, exploration of Tourism potential, upgradation of govt schools and hospitals besides other local issues.
Vice Chairman District Development Councils while speaking on the occasion said that public has welcomed the directions of Govt regarding promoting participatory democracy and on spot public resolving mechanisms.
Deputy commissioner Samba while addressing the public informed that said “each panchayat Ghar in district samba are developed as a ‘lighthouse’ having details of each govt department sponsored schemes as it is the primary building block in participatory democracy”. DC while taking cognisance of the issues raised on the occasion directed Executive Engineer Jal Shakti to supply water through tankers and ensure retail at maintenance are carried out on each water pumping machinery so that public grievances are minimised especially during current prevailing weather conditions. DC also laid emphasis upon PDD and PWD departments to immediately ensure all grievances are resolved within the time frame fixed. DC stressed on district and sectoral officers to work in coherent and convergence mode and submit a consolidate action taken report regarding each grievance of the area.
