Excise sleuths conduct raids in Kathua, two working still along with 3700 Kgs of Lahan destroyed.

Excise Department destroyed two working still & 3700 Kgs Lahan during different raids carried out to arrest the menace of illicit distillation and sale of illicit liquor in Excise Range Kathua.

On the directions of the Worthy Excise Commissioner, Mr Rahul Sharma ,KAS and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Ms Kusum Sharma ,KAS a team of Excise Eradication/Enforcement Wing led by ETO, Eradication Sh. Narinder Singh Anthal, comprising of Inspectors Mohammad Pervaiz & Gagandeep Singh along with Sub Inpectors Karamat Ali, Mohd. Salim raided the Budhi,Barnooti and adjoining areas of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor.

In the process two working still along with 3700 Kgs of Lahan, raw material of illicit liquor, which is highly hazardous and injurious to health was recovered by the raiding team from state land & later destroyed on spot.
