Jammu, June 28 : In an act of alertness and prompt action, Jammu police has nabbed a notorious drug peddler along with the contraband. Amid heightened security various nakas has been established at several places. On one such naka led by SHO P/S Bagh e Bahu Inspr. Kirti Sharma at Bravo-3 NHW, whereby police teams of PS Bagh e Bahu rounded up a suspect identified as Ashwani Kumar @Bunty S/O Mewa Ram R/O Press Morh Bahu Fort Jammu who was on his way, in a vehicle bearing Registration No. JK02BB-0999. On search, 20 grams of heroin, one pistol and 05 live rounds were recovered from him.
On this Case FIR No. 55/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act and 3/25 A. Act got registered at P/S Bagh e Bahu and the accused got arrested. The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO East Sh. Bikram Kumar.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
