Extension of Corona Containment Measures: Distt Level Triage Centres, Permissible Limit for Marriages is 25

EXTENSION OF CORONA CONTAINMENT MEASURES

The following important decisions have been taken and are to be implemented forthwith:

1) The *Corona Curfew* imposed in all 20 distts of J&K till 7 am on Monday, 10/5/21 is extended further by 7 more days till 7 am on Monday, 17/5/21. The curfew will be strict except for a few essential services. DCs will issue necessary orders as earlier for this under the DM Act as before. This will cover urban and rural areas.

2) The list of essential services will bare minimal and not too expansive in order to minimise movement.

3) The gathering permissible for marriages and other religious functions is reduced to 25 only w.e.f. today, 9/5/21.

4) Districts will set up local district level triage centres to ensure proper examination of patients and correct referral, reducing unnecessary load on the tertiary/ referral hospitals.

5) DCs will take steps to ensure there is only 50% attendance in government offices except Sectt and HODs where staff has already been split by half. This does not apply to staff needed for COVID related duties.

6) DCs will mobilise all available staff for COVID related mobilisation such as vaccination, testing, and IEC, including school teachers.

7) COVID testing should become more targeted and focus on unvaccinated population and hot spots.

8) No patient will be denied admission to a hospital or treatment facility just because they do not have a COVID positive test. The judgement should be a medical one based on symptoms.

Detailed SEC orders will be issued by night. DCs and SPs to act on the curfew part immediately.
