17 April; 2021; Samba On the directions of National Legal Services Authority and in compliance to directions of the J&K Legal Services Authority, a National Lok Adalat was held on 17th April, 2021 under the Chairmanship of Ms. Sonia Gupta, Chairman DLSA (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Samba at District Court Complex, Samba. Three benches were constituted for the said purpose. Bench no.1 was constituted for taking up MACT& Bank cases, Pre-Litigation matters and all cases referred by District Judge which was headed by Ms. Sonia Gupta,Chairman DLSA (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Samba and Ms. Madhu Sharma, Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate, Samba. Second bench was constituted of Sh. Arvind Sharma, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Samba and assisted by Ms. Poonam, Munsiff, Samba for taking up of NI Act cases and Criminal Compoundable cases of all nature, Civil cases. Third bench was constituted of Sh. Slahuddin Ahmed, Secretary, DLSA, Samba and Ms. Rashi Verma, Addl. Munsiff, Samba for taking up of Cases under 488/125 CrPC, D.V.Act and Petty Offence Cases. The representatives of Banks, Insurance Companies, Advocates and Litigants participated in the National Lok Adalat. A total no. of 232 cases were taken up by the Benches out of which 189 cases were disposed of amicably and an amount of Rs. 19,20,400/- was settled.
