Continuing its tirade against the menace of illicit trade of drugs and liquor, Samba Police in third successive day arrested a bootlegger and recovered 32 bottles of illicit liquor at village Kirpalpur, Ramgarh.
A Police Party of PS Ramgarh while performing routine patrolling duty in Ramgarh area, reliably learnt regarding the sale of illicit liquor at village Kirpalpur. At this said patrolling party raided the spot and apprehended a person red handed who was selling illicit liquor to general public at exorbitant rates to gain the illegitimate profit at village Kirpalpur, Ramgarh.
During frisking of the said person, a total of 32 bottles of JK Special Whisky each 180 ml were recovered. The accused person who was identified as Ajit Singh S/o Chhaju Ram R/O Kalah Swankha, Ramgarh was arrested on spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 102/2020 U/S 48(f) has been registered at PS Ramgarh and investigation started.
