 JKGTF Demands Extra  benefit,Protection And Rotational Duties in  Covid-19 .
 
 A virtual meeting of members of Jammu Kashmir government teachers forum (JKGTF) was convened on the request of deputee teachers deputed 
for various duties in this coronavirus by  Amar Nath Thakur chairman of the forum to high light their problems and demands  deputed in performing duties in the covid -19 pandemic  in JKUT. During the virtual meeting teachers who are deputed in covid- 19  and other duties  demanded that all teachers deputed to perform duties at Lakhanpur toll post for checking or control room must be rotated on fortnight basis, they said that some teachers are performing the duties regularily since March 2020 till date and must be replaced now at least for a weeks time. They requested D C Kathua to consider their demand.
 Most of the teachers  deputed  in quarantine centres all over the JK UT  must be allotted rotational duties on  frotnight basis from amongest the local staff and other local employees. They added that  covid -19 is a long  risky and biological bettle and every one must give his contribution in this unprecedented situation.They demanded to  provide proper protection and all safety measures as per WHO guide lines  during duty hours as are necessary for the safety and security of employees.
 It was informed that two teachers too have lost their lives while performing their duties in the country while they were distributing MDM and conducting door to door health servey. They were infected and could not recover from coronavirus and expired,  out of them one was a female teacher of Delhi.
Here in JKUT teachers  are distributing books and conducting door to door health surveys, conducting  on line classes, providing study material to students in whatsapp groups.They all must be given travelling allowance under rules as they are performing duties from their home, they all must be considered on duty.All participants demanded that all civil employees who are performing risky duty in this unprecedented situation must be given extra benefit of one month salary,  extra increment or extra promotion .
Thakur told teachers that
when the whole India is in serious trouble  and fighting the dreadiest COVID-19 pandemic , we must salute our  brave warriors, like doctors ,paramedical staff, nurses, security forces, policemen,  NGOs   and other employees who are performing round the clock duties. Doctors, paramedical staff , policemen  teachers other employees  even with out proper PPEs, are in the forefront in serving and saving the life of  people.  Other employees of revenue, RDD, corporations and  MCs too have done a remarkable job in their local areas all over the JKUT. They all deserve extra benefit like extra one month salary, extra increment or promotion.  They are declared as frontline  worriors to fight this covud-19 disease.Merely their appreciation has no meaning with out extra benefit. Their security and safety is the moral duty of JKUT government.

 Thakur  requested DC kathua and  JKUT administration to provide insurance cover to all those who are engaged in such duties up to fifty lakhs,  unfortunately if anyone who is performing duty in this critical time if is  infected and  does not recover from this coronavirus disease he /she  must be then compensated financially and govt.job to one of the family member at least. Those who participated in virtual meeting were  Satish Datta, Rahul Singh, Vijay Kumar,Tara Mani, Parveen Singh, Surjit Singh,  Romesh Singh, Babu Ram, Mani Ram  and many others.
