Samba: May 18, 2026:  Samba Police in a major crackdown on illegal mining under the supervision of SSP Samba, Sh. Anuj Kumar-IPS, has seized twelve vehicles including eleven dumpers across the district which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material. 

Police teams headed by SHO PS Ghagwal, SHO PS Vijaypur and In-charges of Police Posts SIDCO, Supwal, Mansar & Rakh Amb Talli of PS Samba while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas have seized eleven dumpers bearing registration Nos. JK21H-5678, JK08P-0030, JK08M-7630, JK21G-9285, JK21D-9051, JK21A-9719, JK21L-2586, JK21J-9190, JK21J-6799, JK21G-7597, JK02CL-7059 and a tractor without registration No. which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.

The above-mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department Samba for further legal action.
